  • Overview

    The Junior IT Support Analyst is responsible for technical support and systems administration for a specific region of UHM infrastructure. The Junior IT Support Analyst will provide escalation support for the Help Desk, assist the System Administrators with hardware and software deployments, and work on request fulfillment and other project implementations for all infrastructure related technologies. Daily tasks will relate largely to system procurement and setup, facilities workflow and other IT work requiring remote field assistance (hands on).   


    • Assist System Administrators to perform daily system monitoring & changes, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs
    • Provide escalation support from Help Desk for local/regional issues including more complex or longer term problems and incidents
    • Offer remote field assistance for users with technical needs (break/fix & requests)
    • Follow established practices and standards for system configurations, naming conventions, and other established procedures
    • Requires some evening and weekend or offsite travel, sometimes with little advanced notice
    • Assist in auditing, monitoring and continuous improvements of IT processes
    • Train customers to facilitate the future state of self-service processes and technology

    Education & Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years of relevant IT experience
    • 2+ years of experience with customer service
    • Familiarity with or experience in troubleshooting LAN hardware/software, desktop devices and end user applications on mid-range systems, cloud and mobile devices. 
    • Proven ability to learn and pick up new technologies quickly
    • Highly organized individual
    • Travel to office locations around Ohio will be required
    • A self-starter who has strong, proactive work ethic and sense of responsibility in managing a full workload of multiple tasks and priorities
    • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • High energy personality who is able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Effective problem solver and troubleshooter
    • Ability to meet very aggressive deadlines
    • Requires a solid understanding of core networking including but not limited to: LAN/WAN, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, IIS, VPN, Wireless and Firewalls
    • Office 365 administration and support a plus.
    • Must be self-motivated, display an attitude of ownership and a strong desire to learn new technologies.
    • Must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and communication skills (both oral and written), attention to detail, comprehensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills
