  • Overview

    A Junior Software Developer is responsible for working as part of a team to create, enhance and maintain custom software that solves business challenges. This position requires a solid Computer Science/Software Development foundation with the ability to quickly become a contributing member of the software development team.


    • Develop custom applications that solve business needs on various platforms (web, desktop, mobile, etc.)
    • Integrate internal and external applications using custom and 3rd party SDKs, APIs and web services
    • Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot existing applications with guidance from peer team members
    • Create coded unit and integration tests to be run as part of continuous integration
    • Participate in all aspects of Scrum, including but not limited to daily stand-ups, estimation meetings, demos and retrospectives.
    • Develop code that follows established patterns and practices
    • Receive, incorporate and learn from code/peer review feedback

    Education & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
    • Proficient with at least one object oriented language (C# experience preferred)
    • Knowledge of relational database concepts


    • Passion for software systems, development, and computer science with strong growth potential
    • Ability to conform with established coding standards and design patterns
    • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and meet established deadlines
    • Ability to comprehend and accept feedback from peers/code reviews so it can be applied to future tasks
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A willingness to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
